Do you know what you're looking for on a title?

A title shows who owns the property and what the legal description is.

You may want to have a look at what interests are recorded. Are there any covenants in place restricting what you can and can't do?

If the property is on a cross lease there will be a flats plan.

It's important to match up the flats plan to what's actually on site.

If there has been a bedroom extension and this isn't shown on the flats plan, you may need to get this updated by a surveyor.

As always ask your agent if there is anything you should be aware of and get it checked by your solicitor.
