If you are going to auction, what should you be looking out for on the contract?
First of all, have a look on the first page and make a note of the chattels and the settlement date.
If the settlement date doesn't quite work for you, have a chat with the real estate agent and see if the vendors are open to signing a variation for this.
Next, make sure you have a look at the 'Further Terms of Sale' section near the end. If there are any extra clauses added in, this is where you will find them.
Finally make sure you get all the documents checked by your solicitor and ask them any questions you have. Mistakes are costly!
